The objective of this course is to introduce students into the techniques related with the bioconjugation and immobilization of biomolecules. Main issues addressed are related with the chemistry of reactive groups presents in biomolecules, the chemical principles underlying the techniques of protein labeling and the immobilization of biomolecules to solid supports.
