Member of the Carbohydrate Research Group since 2005 and PCD since 2009. Previously he was member of groups focused in different fields and has scientific contributions in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Drug research and Protein crystal growth .

MSci Pharmacy (1991, Universidad de Granada) and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (1995, Universidad de Granada). He continued his research at Dep Chemistry & Chem Biology (Harvard University) under the guidance of Prof. Lipscomb. and at Laboratorio de Estudios Cristalográficos .
